Axium Packaging Welcomed Midwestern Legislative Conference Members for Tour of Packaging and Recycling Facilities
NEW ALBANY, Ohio (July 25, 2024) — Axium Packaging, a plastic packaging manufacturer for multinational consumer product companies, yesterday welcomed more than 30 members from the Midwestern Legislative Conference, whose annual meeting was held in Columbus this week. Axium served as the host of the visit to one of Ohio’s fastest-growing business and manufacturing centers, which includes the company’s headquarters at New Albany’s Beauty Park. Axium President Paul Judge provided an introduction to the company, its business growth and the importance of locating in Ohio. Attendees then toured one of the eight Axium facilities in the Beauty Park, as well as the $45 million recycling facility operated by its subsidiary, Vertix.
“We were excited to share the Axium story with legislators from across the Midwest while highlighting the many benefits and support that the City of New Albany and the Beauty Park offer to our company,” said Judge. “At Axium, we’re proud to bring unique and cutting-edge technology, operations and new sustainable solutions to the manufacturing industry, and to continue supporting and driving growth among consumer packaging companies across the country.”
Axium customers include domestic and international product companies across a range of consumer categories, including personal and home cleaning supplies, food, pharmaceutical, health care and nutrition products commonly found on store shelves, in homes and in businesses across the globe.
“Axium is a shining star in New Albany and at the Beauty Park, and their commitment to Ohio continues to pay dividends for the company, their customers and our community,” said Jennifer Chrysler, director of community development for New Albany. “We are thrilled that Axium has moved to our city, made it the company’s international headquarters and expanded business operations here. It’s an amazing story for Ohio and the Midwest region.”
Axium was also joined on the presentation and tour by New Albany Mayor Sloan Spalding and Columbus State Community College President David Harrison, who spoke about the college’s innovative workforce development efforts focused on building a talent pipeline for the advanced manufacturing industry. In addition to visiting the Axium and Vertix facilities, attendees also toured the New Albany International Business Park, which includes the new Intel site.
